David Columbus and Kristin Winter have over 25 years of combined experience in Portland, Oregon Real Estate. Being part of the local community is important to us, and we have chosen to be a part of the locally owned real estate firm Realty Trust Group, Llc. We realize that Portland is not just a place, it’s a lifestyle. Portlander’s lifestyles are reflected in the many unique neighborhoods. Some of SE Portland’s colorful neighborhoods include Hawthorne Neighborhood, Clinton Neighborhood, Mt. Tabor, Ladd’s Addition, and Laurelhurst. Downtown highlights the Pearl District, Nobb Hill, and South Waterfront. NE Portland’s Irvington, Hollywood, Alameda, Grant Park, Alberta Arts are all unique little corners of this great city. North Portland’s Overlook, Arbor Lodge, and Kenton are growing fast with great light-rail access to downtown. David Columbus moved to Portland in 1999 after carpet bagging around the hemisphere delivering yachts in the Caribbean, North Atlantic and Mediterranean, brokering Eurodollar futures in Chicago, selling real estate in New York and care-taking a farm in Northern Lower Michigan.  He moved for love – that’s the short story.

Kristin Winter’s love of the outdoors and nature motivated her to move from Vermont to Portland in 1998. As a Realtor, she hopes to preserve these amazing natural resources by having sustainability and green living as her focus and works as an Eco-conscious broker to supply her clients with the resources they need.

Principal Broker David Columbus serves buyers and sellers alike with 20 years of real estate experience both as a broker and developer. His experience includes residential, commercial and multi-family housing projects. He is a consistent multi-million dollar producer.

David has a passion for sailing and worked in yacht delivery, ferrying privately-owned classic yachts from the East Coast to the Caribbean, transatlantic, Mediterranean and North Sea; his responsibilities ranged from captain to crew. As race crew, David participated in the international Rolex Regatta, BVI Spring Regatta, Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. The Nioulargue in St. Tropez (now called Voiles de Saint-Tropez), and the Yacht Club de Cannes; Regates Royales to name a few.

David holds a degree in Business Administration/Finance from Western Michigan University and attended the University of Nottingham, England where he studied Medieval West History and Victorian Literature. He is a strong supporter of the ALS Association of Oregon and SW Washington, Basic Rights Oregon, Habitat for Humanity, Willamette River Keepers and is a member of Vancouver Lake Crew and the Rose City Yacht Club.

In the Portland market David has specialized in smart, personalized service bringing together buyers and sellers of historic and Mid-Century homes as well as residential income and commercial properties. Over 90 percent of his ongoing business is referred from satisfied clients.  

Kristin Winter

I came to Portland from Vermont in 1998 and just fell in love immediately!  Since then, my husband Chris and I have found adventure living and playing in Portland's wonderful neighborhoods. I pursued a career as an environmental consultant cleaning up contaminated sites for 14 years before deciding it was time for a change. For the past 6 years, I've loved being a Realtor with an emphasis on "Green" building.

I also understand that your home is an extension of yourself. I enjoy getting to know my buyers as unique people in order to find that perfect fit. I also understand that homes are extensions of sellers and the life they have created.  David & I know it is a hard process to sell your home, and we make sure we are there to guide you through the natural ups and downs of the process.  Once we are in the process, my high attention to detail, organization, and calm personality will help you through the sometimes tricky transaction process.
